What's a creative person to do with their downtime? Dabble in other creative activities of course! I keep my imagination fueled with a whole host of hobbies. I've learned set building from my father - a retired educator who built a business making props for clients like the Del Coronado, the Century Plaza and NFL Commissioner's Superbowl Balls. I've tried my hand at photography with a little help from my professional photographer sister. I played around with voice over work after some encouragement from an instructor in an acting class I had taken to hone my character development skills. Once, I even ran a business as a traveling vocal coach giving singing lessons to students ranging from age 4-60. That experience led me (a non-music reading singer) to become the musical director for a community theater production of "The Wizard of Oz." And I can't wait to add to this list with whatever creative opportunity comes my way next.
