Although my parents and grandparents were teachers, I didn't intend on becoming one myself — until my former high school instructor asked me to restart my alma mater's defunct fine arts program. With guidance from my teacher turned colleague and my educator family members, I built a three-year art curriculum from the ground up.
I then moved on to a new high school to craft curriculums for screenwriting and film studies. Soon after, I began writing academic assessment materials, getting hired on to write elementary-level testing materials for Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and I wrote high school-level Advanced Placement materials for Prestwick Press.
