With nine kids, you'd think travel would be out of the question for my parents. But they found a way to pack us all up each summer in their vintage 1957, candy-apple red Dodge van to road trip across the nation. Between childhood travels and my own  adventures, I've managed to visit 42 U.S. states and five countries in Europe and the Caribbean. Whether luxuriating in a five-star hotel or camping out at the most rustic of sites, travel will always be in my blood.
